Partying Today!

There is a Halloween Party going on this afternoon at Kathy's. The kids will all dress up. Lot's of goodies and candies . All the Mom's and Grandma's will have a chance to talk and have fun too. Looking forward to it. Hopefully will have some pic's to put on here later on.

I just love this picture of Danielle and Taylor. It is so precious. Being a mother and teacher was two of my most prized goals in life. It is a wonderful career (the most treasured one, I believe).
Seeing my children raise their children is so wonderful too. There is nothing like kids and grandkids!!!!!!!

Old Faithful!!!

Some things are just faithful! I love this old van. It gets us all the places we have to go. When she breaks down, Skibo always fixes her up and off we can go again. She has got alot of miles on her and just keeps on going. She has been wrecked and pronounced totaled. She is so faithful to us. God gave her to us for nothing ($.0). What a blessing. On the road she looks old compared to all the other vehicles but she is our pride andjoy. We love her and appreciate her. We named her Betsy. She will keep on going and going................

As I was taking Markus to work the other day, I saw this beautiful old church. They sure do not make them like this anymore. As I got closer, I noticed all the stain glassed windows were gone. It is just sitting empty. You can see right inside the church. It brings back so many memories from my childhood. I hope they are not going to tear it down. It was almost like you could here the choir singing in there. Precious Memories.

God is so Good!

Yesterday turned out to be the neatest day!
I had been wanting and praying for some yellow mums to put out in front of our house. I had been looking at them everywhere in peoples yards and in stores. I just did not have the extra cash to buy anymore right now. I had been praying for a few weeks for some. Well...........
Yesterday as I took Markus to work, the city was replacing their yellow marigolds in front of McDonald's with pansies. The guy was uprooting them and throwing them away. My heart was leaping for joy. I asked him if I could have them. He gave them to me in a trash bag. I had enough yellow marigolds for me and Danielle and Allison. We are planting some of them in these pics. Notice in the last pic, Mike has planted them in planters and we put them out front with Jennifer's pumpkins. On the hill, where my flowers are the morning glory's just took over and made the most beautiful garden. You can see them all wrapped around my other flowers.

Photography Class Yesterday!

It was time for school yesterday! Jennifer and me had a very bad headache. We looked at some essay sites online for awhile, but it really hurt our eyes. We decided to go outside and enjoy the beautiful day for a little bit. It was so warm and pretty. You could just feel fall all around you. We were out by our deck where our flowers are. ( I posted some pics of them yesterday) We both grabbed our cameras and went to work taking pictures. (Photography class, right? --Jennifer being the teacher of course, since I do not know didly squate about it. She has helped me so much with my camera. She taught me how to do this blog. ) She is very good at taking pictures. I am learning. We had a really peaceful time together. I really enjoyed it.

He is doing so much better after his stoke. We are believing he will walk again without the walker or cane. I love him with all my heart.

I Love My Plants.

I have been spending some time watering and taking care of my plants inside this afternoon. I am so proud of this one. It is my pointsettia from last Christmas. They are usually very hard to keep throughout the year. I put this one on my kitchen table. It gets so much light all day long. I believe that is what has kept it so pretty all year. I do not water it very often either. That is another key to it doing so well. It will not be long until Christmas! Is everyone getting in the mood yet? Have a nice Saturday.

Got up early and it looked sorta of gloomy today outside. I walked our little dog and saw this little figurine I have outside in my flowers. It just looked cute and put a smile on my face. Anything that makes me smile is worth sharing. Have a nice day everyone!!!!

There is nothing like living in the moment. I have enjoyed all the beautiful roses that are blooming around our area this week. When I was out driving I saw all kinds in bloom. I love being in the present and enjoying it. It is precious.

I love this sign. Just found out one of my old friends from way back has breast cancer. I could not get her off of my mind for a few days. I have this sign up in my room. It says it all when these times come. I am trying to think of it when she comes to my mind. After all, miracles do happen everyday if we believe!!!!!!

Just Chillin' Around the House Today

Got to sleep in just about an hour this morning. I loved that. I needed the rest after a full week. Just eased into the day. I enjoyed my coffee sooo much today. Didn't have to take my son to work and the pace of everything was slower.
We all need that once in awhile don't we? Hope you all have a nice rest of the weekend.

This is my candle in my room. I am trying to learn to do what it says more everyday. Mike bought this for me many years ago. It is electric and I love it.

We just finished school and it is time to take Markus to get a haircut and to work. He is working the closing shift tonight, (2:00a.m.) Awww! That is a hard one.
